Electricity supply

The "Power Supply" (PS) section is a mandatory subsection of the design documentation for capital construction projects. Its purpose is to describe and, using calculations, justify the method and procedure for the external and internal electrification of a specific facility.

The PS section includes:

• Text section. Characteristics of the power supply sources, justification for the adopted scheme, information on the number of power-consuming devices and their capacity, requirements for power supply reliability and quality, and other items.
• Graphic section. Schematic diagrams of the power supply to electrical consumers from the main, additional, and backup sources, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection diagrams, a power supply network plan, and a diagram of the electrical equipment layout (if necessary).
